Metropolitan Teofan participated in the opening of an exhibition of old iconstranslated

His Eminence Father Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina, participated on Monday in the opening of an exhibition "When the Sky Opens!", hosted by the Palace of Culture in Iași as part of the Sacrum Festival.
The exhibition brings to the fore the icon which is a prophetic vision, a liturgical foretaste of the Kingdom of Heaven, present in advance in the "Earthly Heaven", which is the Church, being meant to raise us spiritually to the heavens.
"Coming from the three Romanian provinces, the icons invite us to meditate on who we are. The icon has this key to understanding: man is made after the icon (image) and likeness of God," said Alexandru Chituță, director of the Sacrum Festival.
The exposed icons bring to the attention of the public the connection between faith and culture. The icon is not only a work of art, but is a representation that points to the reality of the Kingdom of God.
Exhibition "When the Sky Opens!" can be visited until October 30. This year's theme of the Sacrum festival is entitled "Creatio et Intelligentia - Between Divine Providence and Artificial Intelligence".
