October 6, head of the diocesan department for social ministry, Archpriest Vladimir Yaromich took part in the event dedicated to the Day of the Elderly “Let It will be a golden autumn." A meeting was held at the branch of the Lida City Library No. 4 with the participation of the NGO "BelTIZ" and the Orthodox club "Sunday Meetings".
The organizers have prepared a rich program for the guests: competitions, dance numbers and songs. The festive atmosphere and good mood were created by creative groups - the choreographic group “Romantics” and the vocal group “Syabrouka”.
The event ended with congratulations to all meeting participants on the autumn holiday Day of Older People, and women on the Year of the Belarusian Woman. In his pastoral speech, Archpriest Vladimir reminded that any age is a person’s wealth, and the main thing at every age is caring for one’s soul.
“At all times,” noted Father Vladimir, “the Lord awaits our prayers, our thanksgiving for everything that He sends us for our salvation.”
The priest wished everyone present health, peace and warmth, and also called not to waste time, “acquiring wisdom in it and being enriched with good affairs."
