Metropolitan John: We live from the years of Christ, from the life of Christtranslated

"What did Christ do with the other years? He gave them to me and you! All of us who are here and not only live from the years of Christ, from the life of Christ," said Metropolitan John of Banat on Sunday.

"He sacrificed Himself at the age of 33 and said: "I leave the rest of My earthly life to you, but live in Me", His Eminence emphasized.

Christ gave His life to all mankind, offering us, in a spiritual sense, the years he no longer lived on earth, explained the metropolitan father. Thus, any year lived after the age of 33 can be understood as a year received as a gift from Christ.

This perspective urges us to appreciate the value of every moment and to look at life as a gift from God, for which we are called to be grateful, said the Metropolitan of Banat:

"Life is the gift of God and each day should be lived with gratitude, according to the model of Christ."
