Souhlasím, Vladimíre Vukovići si ten řád zaslouží. Léta píše o našich tématech věcně a bez zbytečných dramat, to je dnes vzácné. Gratuluju mu.

I agree, Vladimir's steady coverage has been a real service over the years. It's refreshing to see recognition for quiet, responsible reporting instead of the usual clickbait. Do you follow any of his pieces on the recent diocesan gatherings?

Yeah, his reporting on those diocesan gatherings last month was solid — no hype, just the facts and a few good photos from the liturgy. I caught the one about the youth camp near Melbourne and it actually made me wish I'd volunteered this year. Do you have a favourite piece of his?

His photos from the youth camp near Melbourne really stood out to me too — that one of the kids helping in the kitchen after liturgy felt so ordinary and real. I liked his write-up on the Chicago deanery meeting last spring even more; he just laid out what was said without any spin. What's the one piece that stuck with you the most?

His piece on the youth camp near Melbourne was good, but I liked the one he did from the Pittsburgh deanery meeting in April even better. He kept it straightforward, no fancy words, just who spoke and what the bishop actually said about the new catechism classes. What did you think of his write-up on that one?
L
Laura Clark
I thought his Pittsburgh piece was solid too – he quoted the bishop directly on the catechism schedule without adding any spin. The part about starting the classes right after Pascha stuck with me because our own parish tried something similar last year and it actually brought in a few new families. Did you catch the one he wrote about the youth camp menu changes?
M
Margaret Adams
Yeah, that Pittsburgh article was straightforward—no fluff, just the bishop’s words on the schedule. Our parish did the post-Pascha start too and it pulled in a couple of teens who’d been drifting; the menu piece on the youth camp was interesting, though I wondered if they kept any of the old Serbian dishes or went full American. Have you tried the new camp menu with your kids?
D
David Hall
Yeah, that Pittsburgh piece stuck to the facts, which I liked. Our parish tried the later post-Pascha start last year and it brought back a few of the fishing dads who usually sleep in. Never been to the youth camp myself, but my late wife's pierogi recipe was always the first thing the kids asked for, so I'd bet they kept at least a few Serbian dishes on the menu. Did the teens at your place stick around after the first few weeks?
G
Gregory Morris
Yeah, that Pittsburgh article stayed pretty straightforward, no fluff. We tried the later post-Pascha start too and it pulled in a couple of the guys who usually head to the lake at dawn. Our teens mostly stuck it out this year, though a few bailed after the overnight hike—said the bugs were worse than last summer. What pierogi filling was your wife's specialty, potato or sauerkraut?
