Metropolitan John celebrated the liturgy on the day of remembrance of the heavenly patrontranslated

With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol

On June 23, on the day of remembrance of St. John, Metropolitan of Tobolsk and All Siberia, the miracle worker and the day of his namesake, Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Epiphany Church.

Concelebrating with His Eminence was the dean of the First Stary Oskol District, Archpriest Alexei Babanin, the Dean of the Novooskol District, Archpriest Nikolai Gerasimchuk, the Dean of the Second Belgorod District, Archpriest Sergius Koliy, and the Dean of the Second Stary Oskol District, Archpriest Alexander Korotky.

At the special litany, petitions were offered for Holy Rus' and the health of the now named Metropolitan John.

The service ended with the glorification of St. John, Metropolitan of Tobolsk, and the proclamation of many years to the Head of the Belgorod Metropolis.

At the end of the service, Metropolitan John addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word dedicated to the life and works of his heavenly patron, whose memory the Church commemorates on this day.
