A youth bike ride from the church in the name of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers to the spring of St. Seraphim of Sarov near the village of Tsyganovka took place on September 13 in Sarov (Nizhny Novgorod region). The event brought together about thirty people, led by the assistant to the dean of the Sarov district of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese for physical culture and sports, Archpriest Sergius Skuzovatkin.
The goal of the bike ride is to introduce young people to a healthy lifestyle, introduce them to the holy places of Sarov and its environs, and also remind others of the importance of purity of their native language, the organizers report. Everyone was wearing black T-shirts and baseball caps with slogans against profanity.
The route began with a tour of the Church of the Royal Passion-Bearers and its bell tower. Everyone was able to try themselves as a bell ringer. Then the column of cyclists headed towards Tsyganovka. To commemorate the bike ride, participants were given images of St. Seraphim of Sarov and the text of the troparion to the saint.
