A missionary conversation about family values took place at UlSPUtranslated

On September 10, cleric of the Ascension Cathedral of the Savior, diocesan missionary of the Simbirsk diocese, Priest Nikita Rybakov, held a conversation with fourth-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University on the topic “Family: traditional values and modern challenges.”

The conversation was timed to coincide with the autumn day of remembrance of the patrons of marriage - the holy blessed Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia of Murom. Father Nikita told the students about the lives of the saints and why their example has been a guide for our people for more than one century.

– We talked about the Sacrament of Marriage, looked at what happens during betrothal and wedding, what responsibilities in a church marriage are assigned to the husband and wife. The presentation on the Sacrament of Marriage, which was prepared by the Synodal Missionary Department, helped me a lot in preparing the conversation,” the priest shared.
