It’s good that the deputies came to the church in Skhalta, and not just according to protocol. Liturgy in such an ancient cathedral is always to the point. I wonder if there were local residents too or mostly officials?

Good to see them actually showing up for Liturgy instead of just a quick photo op. The Cathedral of the Nativity in Skhalta is one of those ancient spots that makes you pay attention. Wonder if the locals outnumbered the officials or if it stayed mostly formal.

Good thing they went to the whole Liturgy and not just for a photo. Skhalta is an old place, and the locals like to come there for a holiday. I wonder if they stayed after the service to talk to the people of the village.

It is good that the MPs stood for the full liturgy in Skalta and not just for the photo. Locals always come to this old church in our area, especially on holidays. I wonder if the parliamentarians shared coffee with the population?

Yes, in such ancient churches the service feels completely different. As far as I know, locals from Skhalta also came, the church is small, there was enough space for everyone. Have you been to Zemo Adjarian churches yourself?

Well said, Desislava. It's really better if they stay the whole service instead of just showing up for a photo. I also wonder if they talked to the locals afterwards – in such villages people like to share about the history of the church.

You're right, Desislava, it's good that they stayed for the entire Liturgy. Skhalta is really an old place, we went fishing there last year and the locals told us how the church survived during Turkish slavery. I wonder if the MPs tried the local honey after the service - they say it was very nice.
