The Toflea Monastery in Galati County supports hundreds of families with food, clothing and medicinetranslated

The "Sfinții Trei Hierarhi i Sfântul Ștefan cel Mare" monastery in the town of Toflea, Galați county, has been supporting hundreds of underprivileged families, with many children and the elderly, through the "Love your neighbor!" program for over two years.

According to the Archdiocese of Lower Danube, the program is coordinated by the abbot of the monastic settlement, Father Paisie Agache, together with a team of volunteers. The project runs weekly, offering concrete support to those in need.

Preparations for each action take place at the monastery, where volunteers sort and pack food and essential goods.

The aid includes non-perishable food and basic products: flour, cornstarch, rice, sugar, oil, canned goods, compotes and fresh bread, but also snacks for children, such as biscuits, bagels, puffs and soft drinks.

In addition to food parcels, the monastery also provides clothing, shoes for all ages and medicine for the sick in the community.
