The works at the "Holy Trinity" Episcopal Cathedral in Baia Mare are progressing, and at this stage the interior painting has begun, in parallel with the finishing touches to the place of worship.
The stage of the execution was presented on Tuesday by the Maramureș senator Cristian-Augustin Niculescu-Șagârlas, in a post published on his personal Facebook page.
"The work on the Orthodox Episcopal Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Baia Mare is progressing, and with the interior painting, the beauty of this edifice begins to take shape," the politician said.
The senator highlighted the role of painting in defining the liturgical space: "If the exterior architecture will reproduce the beauty of the Maramures port and the cultural nobility of these places, the interior, through painting, is the one that places you in the meaning of life, in a joy and peace of the heart that become mystery and prayer."
