The Romanian team at the Balkan Informatics Olympiad won four medalstranslated

Romanian students won four medals at the Balkan Informatics Olympiad, which took place between September 14 and 20, in Tirana, Albania, informs the Ministry of Education and Research.

The four medalists are: Ștefan-Cătălin Savu from the "Ion Luca Caragiale" National College Ploiesti, with a gold medal; Matei Neacșu and Cezar-Luca Mironov from the Bucharest International Theoretical High School of Informatics, both with silver medals, and Luca-Valentin Mureșan from the same high school, who obtained a bronze medal.

The group of students that represented our country was led by Prof. Szabó Zoltan from the Mureș County School Inspectorate and Prof. Bogdan-Ioan Popa from the Theoretical High School "Just 4 Kids" Bucharest.

According to the cited source, more than 75 students from 18 countries participated in the competition: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey as member countries, Saudi Arabia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine as invited countries.
