Summer with “Origins”: how schoolchildren discovered the world of the templetranslated

From June 29 to July 2, the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Borisov opened its doors to pupils of school camps. Educational meetings for the children were organized by a psychologist and teachers from the “Istoki” Sunday School. For many boys and girls, this trip became their first truly intimate acquaintance with Orthodox culture and the beauty of church architecture.
Each day brought its own unique meanings. The first guests were students from secondary school No. 11. They immersed themselves in the theme “Two Worlds: The World of Angels”, and then created paper cranes with their own hands - a symbol of peace and purity. The summer theme was continued by bright chalk drawings on the asphalt, dedicated to peaceful Belarus. The baton of kindness was picked up by the children from school No. 12. The focus of their attention was “Kind words and deeds.” The schoolchildren watched a touching video about mercy, and then played plenty of outdoor games. Those who wanted to be creative were able to engage in drawing and design. School No. 13 completed a series of summer meetings.
