Summer gatherings of the Gomel diocese: unity in prayer and communicationtranslated

With the blessing of His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, in the summer of 2026, family and youth gatherings were held in the Gomel diocese, the participants of which were parishioners of different ages.

The diocesan family gathering at the courtyard of the St. Nicholas Monastery in the village of Teryukha this year took place in two shifts. The first began on June 22 and united 28 families; the second, held in August, was attended by 24 families.

The participants lived in a tent camp, gathered daily for prayer, carried out labor obediences, participated in pilgrimage trips, creative master classes, sports events and classes in tourism skills. The program included meetings with border service officers and dog handlers, hiking trips and joint creative evenings.

The parishes of the Gomel diocese also organized their summer rallies.

From July 22 to August 6, a gathering of the parish of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the agricultural town of Michurinskaya took place on the banks of the Dnieper. Its participants included 33 people - children, youth and adults. The program included joint prayer, conversations, games and outdoor recreation.
