Jerusalem Patriarchate warns against fundraising in the mame of Late Elder Justin

The Patriarchate of Jerusalem has issued a clarification concerning the transfer, funeral service and burial of the late Elder Justin, former Hegumen of the Shrine of Jacob’s Well.
In its statement, the Patriarchate stressed that it has assumed full responsibility for all arrangements and expenses related to the transfer, funeral and burial of the late Elder.
Consequently, any fundraising campaign or collection of donations presented as being intended to cover these expenses, or conducted in the name of the late Elder Justin, has no connection with the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
The Patriarchate further clarified that such initiatives are neither approved nor conducted under its auspices.
It therefore distanced itself entirely from any such private fundraising efforts and urged the faithful to exercise caution and not to respond to appeals for financial contributions made for this purpose.
