International photography contest invites images of Orthodox life in Czechia and Slovakia

Photographers from around the world are being invited to capture Orthodox Christianity through the international competition “ Colours of Orthodoxy. Czechia and Slovakia ”.
The competition runs from 15 August to 30 November and is free to enter for both professional and amateur photographers. Each participant may submit up to six photographs per category across the four categories: Places, Reportage, People and Details.
The photographs must depict places of worship and aspects of life within the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia. Images may feature churches and monasteries, clergy and laypeople, pilgrimages and feast-day celebrations, as well as icons, frescoes, mosaics, crosses and other elements of ecclesiastical art.
Send entries to the organisers with the participation form. Submit photographs in JPG, PNG, or TIFF format, measuring at least 3,000 pixels in width or height.
Competition jury The international jury comprises Jarosław Charkiewicz and Aleksander Wasyluk from Poland; Archdeacon Nicolae Iftimiu, director of the Romanian Patriarchate’s Basilica News Agency; Ludmila Juzová from Czechia; and Lucia Fedorcová from Slovakia.
