The miracle-working icon of the Mother of God "Sweet kiss" from Păngărăți Monastery in Neamţ county will be brought on pilgrimage to Călăraşi, between September 3-8.

On Thursday afternoon, September 3, the Most Reverend Father Vincentiu, Bishop of Slobozia and Călărași, will welcome the delegation of the Pângărați Monastery and will carry the icon in procession, together with the priests and the faithful, to the "Saints Constantine and Elena" Church - Volna, where the icon will be placed in a specially arranged canopy.

During the six days of the pilgrimage, the Holy Liturgy, Vespers, the Mystery of the Holy Olive, the Chapel and the Akathist of the Mother of God will be celebrated daily.

On September 8, on the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God, His Holiness Father Vincentiu will officiate the Holy Liturgy at the "Saints Constantine and Elena" Church - Volna, which will be attended by representatives of the local and county authorities. The icon of the Mother of God will be returned to the Păngărați Monastery on the same day.
