The icon of the Mother of God brought on pilgrimage from the German monastery of Pângărați arrived on Thursday evening at the Volna Church in the municipality of Călăraşi, a place placed under the protection of St. Imp. Constantine and Elena.
All the priests from the three deaneries of Călărași county and approximately 1400 believers welcomed the holy odor near the "Holy Apostles Peter and Paul" Church in Călărași and carried it in procession to the Volna Church, where a Te Deum was celebrated.
