Shrine at the Slatina Monastery: PS Macarie consecrated the reliquary with fragments of the relics of Saints Paisie and Cleopatranslated

Bishop Macarie of Northern Europe served on Thursday, on the feast of the Transfiguration, at the Slatina Monastery in Suceava county, which celebrated its patron saint. On this occasion, the hierarch consecrated the reliquary in which fragments of the relics of Saints Paisie and Cleopa from Sihăstria were placed.
There is a special connection between the two saints and the Slatina Monastery: In 1949, thirty monks from the community of Sihăstria, led by their abbot, Father Cleopa, went to the Slatina Monastery with the mission of reorganizing and reviving the monastery. Father Paisie was also part of the group, who contributed to the revival of monastic life in the settlement.
The reliquary with the holy relics was placed in worship after the Holy Liturgy, for the blessing of the pilgrims.
They were welcomed by the stavrophora Serafima Gherasim, the abbess of the Slatina Monastery, together with the entire community of monks, who took care of all those who came to the sanctuary.
During the sermon, the Reverend Father Macarie explained the significance of the Transfiguration of the Lord, showing that the light shared by the Savior Christ on Mount Tabor is the light of divine grace, which cleanses, heals and renews.…
