Bishop Vincent performed the Sacrament of Marriagetranslated

A significant and joyful event took place in the Spassky Cathedral of the city of Tara - the Sacrament of Wedding, which was performed by Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, uniting Vladimir and Irina Otradnov in church marriage.

Praying during the service were the cathedral clergy, relatives and friends of the couple, as well as parishioners who came to share the spiritual joy of the Christian family. A special prayer atmosphere reigned in the church: those gathered offered petitions for God’s grace-filled help to be sent to the newlyweds, strength in married life and blessing for the creation of a home based on faith, love and mutual respect.

While performing the Sacrament, Bishop Vincent recalled the high meaning of Christian marriage as a union established by God and sanctified by the Church. The archpastor emphasized that the family is a small Church in which spouses are called to grow in patience, mercy and selfless love for each other.

At the end of the Wedding ceremony, Bishop Vincent warmly congratulated the newlyweds Victor and Irina and gave them the archpastoral blessing.
