Evening at Agrinio: The Imprint of Fasting on Man and Sciencetranslated

The Cultural Foundation of the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania "Saint Eugene of Aetolos", and the Department of Food Science and Technology of the School of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Patras, Agrini Branch, are co-organizing an evening with the theme "The Imprint of Fasting on Man and Science". The evening will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 6:00 pm, in the Amphitheater of the Department of Food Science and Technology, at 2 G. Seferi Street, in Agrinio.

The organization seeks to highlight the importance of fasting, examining it through the ecclesiastical and scientific perspective, highlighting its spiritual, psychological and nutritional dimensions.

At the center is the person and the possibility to understand more deeply the choices that shape their daily life and the quality of their life.

The event marks the first collaboration of the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania with the University of Patras in Agrinio, inaugurating a framework of communication and joint initiatives between the two institutions.
