Bishop Vincent took part in the celebrations of the “Day of the Baptism of Rus' in Omsk”translated

On July 26, 2026, celebrations were held in the city of Omsk on the occasion of the Day of the Baptism of Rus'.
The celebration began with the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral. Concelebrating with Metropolitan Dionysius on this day were Metropolitan Peter of Orenburg and Saraktash, Bishop Theodosius of Isilkul and Russko-Polyansky, Bishop Siluan of Kalachin and Muromtsevo, Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalin and a host of clergy of the Omsk Metropolis. The temple was filled with worshipers from early morning.
At the end of the Liturgy, the traditional procession of the Cross began, which has already become the “calling card” of the holiday in our region. The procession turned out to be truly national: the “River of People” flowed through the central streets of the city with a prayer to God for the Fatherland, family and friends.
The crosswalkers walked from the Assumption Cathedral and, singing prayers, walked through the central streets of the city, stopping at the chapel in honor of the Iverskaya Icon of the Mother of God, at the Seraphim-Alekseevskaya Chapel, and also in front of Ilyinskaya Gorka, the place where the Ilyinsky Cathedral, destroyed during the years of persecution, stood.
