Bishop Ignatius celebrated the Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Glubokoye in honor of the transfer of the revered miraculous icon, called “It is Worthy to Eat” (Merciful), from Holy Mount Athostranslated

On June 26, Friday of the 4th week after Pentecost, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe led the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Glubokoe.

At the gates of the cathedral, the bishop was greeted by the deputy chairman of the Glubokoe regional executive committee, Tatyana Leonidovna Tarasevich.

At the walls of the church, Bishop Ignatius was solemnly greeted with bread and salt and flowers by Ivan Evgenievich Rubashko and Nikolai Gramyko. Along the colorful flower path, the archpastor, parishioners and guests of the holiday walked to the church.
