Bishop Nestor of Deva and Hunedoara participated on Sunday in the National Celebrations in Țebea. "For today's Romania, the National Hero Avram Iancu can be relevant not only as a military model, but especially as a moral model", emphasized His Eminence.

Before the commemorative events, the hierarch celebrated the Holy Liturgy in the Church of the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" in Tebea Parish, Hunedoara County.

His Eminence then officiated the Parastas service at the grave of Avram Iancu, located in front of the place of worship in Țebea. Tribunes Ioan Buteanu and Simion Groza were also mentioned, as well as Romanian heroes from all times and from all places.
