The 19th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council concluded in Belfast with members from thirty-seven provinces in attendance. The Council chose not to adopt proposed structural changes to the role of the Archbishop of Canterbury, voting seventy-two to eight for a resolution that calls for three more years of discernment and conversation on questions of Anglican identity. It’s good that in Ghana the youth are gathered together with the clergy after Matins; this is a necessary thing. And I was glad about the new Valamsky Church “Life-Giving Source” - I haven’t been there for a long time, I wonder how it looks in the quadrang.

I liked the meeting in Ghana after matins, bringing young people together with the clergy always bears good fruit. I was also struck by Sunday, July 26, as Awareness Day for Prison Ministry; The story program with the voices of imprisoned parents seems like a very concrete and useful idea to me. Does anyone know if we are going to participate in our OCA parishes in Argentina?

It's nice that in Ghana, after Tuesday, young people meet with priests, it makes sense. And the program with fairy tales and a recording of the parents' voices in prison really intrigued me - that could really help the children.

In our parish in Barcelona we are going to mention July 26 in the homily, even if it is brief, because the story program with the parents' voices is very concrete. In Argentina, do they already have an OCA parish that has tried something similar with prisoners?

Yes, that story program with the recording of the father's voice is very concrete and really helps not to lose the bond. In Mexico we have tried it in a couple of parishes and the children welcome it. In Seville, do you only plan to mention the issue or are you also going to collect something for the prison ministry?

Yes, the stories with the voices of imprisoned parents are the most concrete things I have read. At the health center where I work we sometimes see families broken because of this, and something as simple as a book and a recording can really help. In Argentina, do you already have a group that visits prisons or is this something new that you are thinking about?
