One of the most important centers of Byzantine heritage in Greece, Kastoria, two received two fully restored churches, which were handed over to the Kastoria Metropolis for liturgical use after many years of conservation work. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture of Greece, Lina Mendoni, who officially handed over to the metropolis the restored churches of St. George in the village of Omorfokklisia and that of the St. Archangels
