Navy Day in Ulyanovsk: the priest congratulated the veterans of the “Sea Brotherhood”translated

On July 26, a solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of the Formation of the Russian Navy took place in Ulyanovsk on the 30th Anniversary of Victory Square.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, those gathered were congratulated by the head of the department for interaction with the armed forces, Archpriest Sergius Kichigin. The priest wished the veterans good health, salvation and God's help in raising the younger generation.

Deputy Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexander Korobko, Chief Federal Inspector for the Ulyanovsk Region Yuri Kulik, representatives of the city administration, City Duma, Legislative Assembly, youth and public organizations, and military personnel of the Ulyanovsk territorial garrison came to congratulate the Navy veterans.

After the ceremony of laying flowers at the “Eternal Flame” monument, Deputy Chairman of the Ulyanovsk regional public organization of the Navy Veterans Association “Sea Brotherhood”, Petty Officer 1st Reserve, Alexander Egorov, presented medals and certificates of honor to members of the organization involved in the military-patriotic education of youth.
