A delegation of schoolchildren from Yaroslavl made a pilgrimage to Yekaterinburgtranslated

At the invitation of the Yekaterinburg diocese, the Ural capital was visited by guests from Yaroslavl - students of the 10th and 11th grades of the Yaroslavl provincial gymnasium named after St. Ignatius Brianchaninov. The trip took place from October 4 to October 7, 2026, the young pilgrims were accompanied by teachers and the dean of the parishes of the Vyatka district of the Yaroslavl Metropolis, the confessor of the gymnasium, Priest John Nedvetsky.
Our acquaintance with Yekaterinburg began right from the platform. During the sightseeing tour, schoolchildren were shown the architectural contrasts of Yekaterinburg - from historical buildings to modern ones - and were also told about the feats of the townspeople during the Great Patriotic War, philanthropists and virtues who were engaged in the construction of monasteries and the establishment of workshops and schools. The first day ended with a visit to the Alexander Nevsky Novo-Tikhvin Convent.
The second day was no less eventful. The children visited the gymnasium named after His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II, they were presented with gifts from the ruling bishop, Metropolitan Evgeniy of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye.
