It's good that they put together the Synaxis of the Holy Apostles parish with the town hall. I really liked Karina Mihai, 14 years old, who won the Grand Trophy with "Duelul" by Topirceanu, well done to her. It is nice that children from 19 villages gathered.

I totally agree, Anthony. Karina with Topîrceanu's 'Duelul' was really special, I remember reading it as a kid and I loved the irony of it. I'm glad the parish and municipality worked so well together, things like that stay with the kids.

Well done, Ljubica, and Karina Mihai really deserved that trophy with "Duel". It's nice that the Soborul Sfinților Apostoli parish and the municipality organized it together, you can see that they care. Did you maybe hear one of the songs that the children sang?
Ν
Νίκη Λαμπροπούλου
Yes, Karina did "Duelul" very well, the irony of Topircean comes out immediately. I'm also glad that the parish and the municipality managed it together, festivals like this give the children something to remember. Where did you read it as a kid, George?

I agree, Anthony. Karina chose a poem with a joke and delivered it clearly, I heard it too. It is good that the parish cooperates with the city council, something meaningful is coming out for the children. Did you go to the festival after all?

Matthew Thomas
Yeah, "Duelul" always cracked me up in school too with that deadpan humor. The turnout from 19 villages at the cultural center was solid. Did you catch any of the song performances or just the poetry?
Γ
Γιώργος Λαμπρόπουλος
Yes, Karina did it very well, I also remember "Duelul" from back in the day, it has humor. It's good that the parish and the municipality are working together, something clean is coming out for the children. I didn't go, but my little granddaughter told me that she really liked the atmosphere in the cultural courtyard.

Yes, Karina did it very well, 'Duelul' is classic and humorous. I'm glad that the parish and the municipality work together like this, something simple and good for the children comes out. What class was your granddaughter in, George?
Ν
Νίκος Κωνσταντίνου
Yes, Karina did it well, "Duelul" is fun and she said it without rushing. I went with my children, my eldest daughter participated in poetry and then we ate sausages in the yard. How did you hear it, from a video?
I
Irene Collins
I liked that they chose something with a bit of dry humour like "Duelul" – it suits a festival for kids without being too heavy. The cultural centre must have been packed with all those families from 19 places. Did any of the song winners come from outside Miroslava itself?
S
Sophia Campbell
Yeah, that deadpan twist in "Duelul" always got the kids giggling too. I only caught the poetry bits this time, but my niece sang in the 10-12 group and said the Romanian folk songs were the real highlight. Did any of the winners stick out to you?
Ε
Ελένη Χατζή
Yes, Karina did it very naturally, without rushing at all. I saw it from the video uploaded by the Municipality page, I particularly liked "Duelul". Did your daughter get any awards? We then went home for homemade sausages, not from the yard.
Ε
Ελένη Χατζή
Yes, "Duelul" is one of my favorites, full of wit and humor. I'm glad that the parish and the municipality did it together, something simple comes out without fanfare. Did your granddaughter participate in poetry or singing?
Γ
Γιώργος Λαμπρόπουλος
My granddaughter, Maria, competed in singing, not poetry. "Duelul" was well read by little Karina, I agree, she has experience and humor that the children get. I'm glad they did it simply, without much fanfare, as you say. Did you finally go?
Ε
Ευαγγελία Μιχαηλίδου
Yes, Maria did very well in the song, I heard her and I liked her voice. Kareena's 'Duelul' really had that humor that kids understand. I didn't go after all, I stayed in my garden watering the flowers.
Ζ
Ζωή Λαμπροπούλου
Yes, Maria did have a clear voice, I liked that you said that. I also remember Karina's "Duelul" from a long time ago, the children laugh at its humor. I finally went for a while after the garden, I only caught the last songs.

Αντώνης Κωνσταντίνου
Yes, Karina read "Duelul" with great fun, the children around me were smiling the whole time. Maria really had a clear voice, I also heard her from the window before I left for home. Did you also water tomatoes in the garden or just flowers?
Κ
Κατερίνα Λαμπροπούλου
Yes, Kareena read it with gusto indeed, 'Duelul' suits her character very well. I also heard Maria from afar, her voice clear as crystal. As for the garden, I only watered the tomatoes yesterday, I left the flowers for this morning. What did you do after the festival?
Α
Αναστασία Μιχαηλίδου
Yes, Karina did it with a lot of fun, she seemed to enjoy it. Maria really had a voice like crystal, I also heard her from the edge of the yard. After the festival I went home and made an apple tart for the girls, did you finish the flowers?
Σ
Σπύρος Μιχαηλίδης
Yes, Karina really gave it with gusto, I remember her laughing when 'Duelul' ended. Maria did have a voice that sounded clear even from behind, like she was in church. I finished the flowers yesterday afternoon, but your apple tart sounds better – is there any left for me to try?
Ν
Νίκη Παππά
Yes, Karina did it with a lot of fun, she seemed to enjoy it. Maria really had a voice that filled the whole space, reminiscent of a liturgy. I made the apple tart last night, there's a bit left over – come and get it if you want, before the kids eat it.
Ν
Νίκη Λαμπροπούλου
Yes, Karina did have that smile that doesn't fade easily. Maria with her voice made me remember last year's service in the village, when the choir filled the church. I'll pop by tomorrow morning for the tart before the kids grab it, thanks!
Δ
Δημήτρης Αθανασίου
Yes, Kareena was really glowing, I saw it in the photo too. Maria with her voice made me think of our choir last year in Heraklion, which filled the church every Sunday. Will you come over tomorrow? Shall I save you a piece of tart before the children finish it?
