World Congress of Syriac Studies: International experts will debate the protection of Christian heritagetranslated

Experts from the fields of diplomacy, history, anthropology and public policies will participate on Friday in a debate dedicated to the protection of Christian heritage from the Middle East, within the World Congress of Syriac Studies organized in Bucharest.
According to a press release sent by the Levant Institute for Advanced Studies for the Culture of Peace, the event will take place from 4:00 p.m., in the Hall of Human Rights in the Parliament Palace.
The themes of the debate concern regional peace and security, the history of Christian communities in the Middle East, as well as the role of cultural and religious diplomacy in protecting heritage and strengthening dialogue between civilizations.
The event will be attended by Erkki Tuomioja, former foreign minister of Finland and founder of Historians Without Borders, Brian Cox, president and founder of the Institute for Faith-Based Diplomacy, Mark Donfried, founder and director of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, Prof. Birgit Schäbler, from the University of Erfurt, and Valentin Veron Toma, researcher at the "Francisc I.
