Researchers from 58 countries gather in Bucharest for the International Congress of the History of Religionstranslated

Researchers and professors from 58 countries will participate next week in the International Congress of the History of Religions. The meeting in Bucharest will bring together participants from six continents, affiliated to over 300 universities and research institutes.

The event will take place between September 20-25 and will include over 700 scientific papers. The program covers topics ranging from the religions and civilizations of Antiquity to the religious transformations associated with the war in Ukraine and artificial intelligence.

Romania is appreciated This year's meeting also marks the return to Bucharest, after two decades, of the Annual Conference of the European Association for the Study of Religions (EASR).

The Romanian capital hosted the first edition in 2006, when the 6th Annual EASR Conference and the Special Conference of the International Association for the History of Religions (IAHR) took place.

Professor Marco Pasi, EASR president, highlighted the contribution of Romanian researchers to the development of the field.
