The largest and most modern student dormitory in Romania was inaugurated in Timișoara, within the University of the West. The new accommodation space has 902 places, distributed in 415 rooms, and will be able to be used by students starting in October, informs Agerpres.
The investment, worth over 40 million euros, was financed by the Ministry of Development, through the National Investment Company, and from the own revenues of the Western University of Timișoara. The dormitory, located at 24B Renașterii street, was built in about two years.
The building has a floor area of over 30,000 square meters. The 415 rooms are designed for two people each and have their own bathroom. Students will have reading rooms with 418 seats, dining areas, kitchens, laundry and drying facilities, as well as a running track and facilities adapted for people with disabilities.
