Well said of Christ as the true bridge-builder. In our parish chess club, I often say that without Him the bonds between people fall apart like a poor defense. I wonder how exactly the Asian bishops will implement this in their daily parishes.

I am glad what Cardinal Tagle says, Christ is really the only one who truly binds. In our kitchen, when two cooks are arguing over the recipe, we still go to Him so that everything doesn't go bad. I wonder what this will look like concretely in an Asian parish, at their home, after this one day of prayer.

In our kitchen at the rectory, we also often end up with Christ when two cooks argue about whether there should be more paprika or cumin in the goulash. Tagle said it nicely that He is the true bridge. I wonder if Asian bishops will try this bridging in everyday little things like cooking together for the poor.

Tagle did a good job about Christ as a real bridge builder. It also often happens to us after a church service: two grandmothers almost quarrel over who waters the flowers near the icon, but then they make up anyway. I wonder how Asian bishops will try this in practice in their parishes.
