“Great spiritual joy”: liturgical chants of the Liturgy were performed by six choirs of churches of the Simbirsk Metropolistranslated

August 18, 2026 · 1 min read

From August 12 to August 23, the Simbirsk diocese hosts an ark with a portion of the relics of the Holy Blessed Matrona of Moscow and the implementation of the choral educational project “Rhythms of Faith” takes place. As part of this project, in the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral of Ulyanovsk, during the cathedral bishop’s service, church hymns were performed by six choirs from the Simbirsk Metropolis. In our story we will talk about what regents and choristers learn from each other, and how church singing helps worshipers feel the beauty of the Orthodox faith.
