“Blessed are the merciful”: Metropolitan Longin blessed the charity society at St. Andrew’s Church to servetranslated

His Eminence was served by the secretary of the Simbirsk diocesan administration, the dean of the third Simbirsk city district, the rector of the church, Priest Roman Solodko, Priest Vadim Ushakov, Priest Sergius Antonov, the head of the protocol service of the Simbirsk diocesan administration, Priest Valery Stavrovsky, Deacon Ioann Kosyakov, and Deacon Grigory Shevchenko. During the service the Bishop's male choir of the Simbirsk Metropolis sang under the direction of the regent, Priest Andrei Chizhov.

At the end of the Liturgy, a prayer service was offered to the holy chief apostles Peter and Paul. The Bishop blessed the sisters and brothers of the charity society in the name of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, formed at the temple, to serve, prayed for the beginning of a good deed, and consecrated the form. 22 volunteers from among the parishioners completed courses at the Ulyanovsk Medical College and received the specialty “Junior nurse in patient care.”
