Archim. Dionisie Constantin, at the Șigăneşti Monastery: The Mother of God brings joy to our livestranslated

"The Mother of God brings joy to our lives, communion and motherly presence in the midst of our loneliness and alienation", pointed out Archimandrite Dionisie Constantin on Saturday, at the patron of the Ilfove Șigăneşti Monastery.
The coordinating patriarchal advisor and director of the Workshops of the Biblical and Orthodox Mission Institute of the Romanian Patriarchate explained that the feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God should not be understood as a celebration of separation, but as a testimony of the victory of life over death.
"She who moved from earth to heaven did not leave the world, but moved to heaven, in the light and love of her Son, and through her prayers she saves our souls from death."
Starting from the troparion of the holiday, the archimandrite highlighted the deep meaning of the passing of the Mother of God from this life: "For a Christian, death is no longer the last word on man. Since the Resurrection of Christ, the grave is no longer the end of the road, but the place from which we await the resurrection."
"The Mother of God shows us today that human life finds its true fulfillment not in passing things, but in eternal communion with God," said the patriarchal councillor.
