Hierarchal service of the Paraklisis to the Most Holy Theotokostranslated

In the evening, July 17, on the eve of the feast of St. Sergius of Radonezh, in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Archbishop of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka Theodore performed Paraclesis - a prayer service with an akathist before the “Kazan” icon of the Mother of God.
Concelebrating with the Bishop was Archpriest Victor Muzykant, rector of the cathedral. The chants were performed by the Cathedral Choir.
Every week, on Fridays, at 18:00 in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, a special service to the Most Holy Theotokos is held - Paraklisis. Translated from Greek, this word means “zealous prayer.” The Paraklisis consists of a canon and an akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos. This is a separate service that is served in front of the venerated image of the Mother of God. The singing heard during the service is touching and at the same time solemn, because the Mother of God personifies all the beauty and glory of the Church, as well as the closeness of the human race to God.
