Archbishop Savva performed an akathist before the locally revered image of the Mother of God “Seeking the Lost”translated

On July 31, on the heel of the 9th week after Pentecost, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed an akathist in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ before the locally revered image of the Most Holy Theotokos “Seeking the Lost” of Tiraspol. His Eminence was served by the first assistant to the Ruling Bishop, Archimandrite John (Danilescu), the deans of the Dubossary, Slobodzeya, Rybnitsa and Bendery districts, Archpriest Georgy Lisovsky, Archpriest Andrei Danilescu, Archimandrite Victor (Sayapin) and Archpriest Mikhail Lungu, the clergyman and clergy of the Cathedral, the clergy of the Central deanery Archpriest Georgy Lisnik, Archpriest Alexy Pantyushenko, Archpriest John Zherep. At the end of the akathist singing, His Eminence the Bishop, the clergy and pilgrims sang the glory of the Queen of Heaven and reverently bowed to Her locally revered image.
Before the start of the Divine Liturgy, the Ruling Bishop performed a proskomedia commemoration of the patrons, benefactors and the entire flock of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese, offering prayers for the health, peace and salvation of the faithful children of the Holy Church.
