On August 11, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary visited the historical and local history museum of Transnistria under construction, where he got acquainted with the preparation of the exhibition hall dedicated to Orthodoxy and the history of the Russian Orthodox Church in our region. The Bishop inspected the room, in which in the future evidence of the centuries-old spiritual and church history of Pridnestrovie will be presented: holy icons, liturgical vestments, church books, liturgical utensils and other items of historical, spiritual and cultural significance. During the visit, Archbishop Savva discussed with the museum staff the concept of the future exhibition, its content and the principles of presenting church heritage. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the museum space not only acquaints visitors with historical evidence of the Orthodox life of the region, but also allows them to further reveal the significance of Orthodoxy in the formation and preservation of the spiritual and cultural traditions of Pridnestrovie.
