The feast of Saint Kallinikos of Edessa in the Holy Metropolis of Rethymnotranslated

On Saturday morning, August 8, 2026, Rev. Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos officiated during Orthros and performed the High Priestly Divine Liturgy at the Holy Pilgrimage Church of Panagia Harakiani of the Holy Monastery of the Holy Forerunner of Atalis-Bali, where the holy memory of our Holy Father Kallinikos, Bishop of Edessa, whose holy icon and fragment of a holy relic were put in veneration.

His Eminence, in his eulogy, wished everyone abundantly the grace of God and of the Holy Three Hierarchs, whose memory the Church commemorates on August 8, Saint Emiliano, Bishop of Kyzikos, Saint Myron, Bishop of Crete and Saint Kallinikos, Bishop of Edessa, stressing that holiness is an invitation to every person, in every age, in the course of the world.
