Novogrudok Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church (Belarusian Exarchate of the Moscow Patriarchate) Missionary Department On October 7, 2026, on the eve of the day of remembrance of the repose of St. Sergius, Abbot of Radonezh, Archbishop Gury of Novogrudok and Slonim arrived at the Holy Trinity-Sergius Lavra. Vladyka visited the grave of his spiritual father Schema-Archimandrite John (Maslov), where he performed a funeral litany. On October 8, 2026, on the day of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius. On this day, according to tradition, bishop's services were also performed in other churches of the Lavra.
