Archbishop Joachim celebrated his spiritual protector: Our whole life is called to become a prayertranslated

Archbishop Joachim of Roman and Bacău celebrated his spiritual protector on Wednesday, on the feast of Saints Joachim and Ana.

His Eminence officiated the Holy Liturgy at the Archbishop's Cathedral in Roman, together with Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotusanul of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău and clerics from the diocesan administration.

After the service, Archimandrite Pimen Costea, eparchial vicar, addressed His Holiness Father Joachim with a word of congratulations.

"You are, Your Eminence, our spiritual father. You have, on the one hand, the authority of the hierarch that comes from the apostolic succession and ordination, and, on the other hand, the authority of the spiritual father, springing from the spiritual experience and from the gift of discernment, the fruit of prayer and secret needs, of vigil nights and listening to the spiritual fathers under whom you formed".

The Reverend Father Teofil Trotusanul explained how the name Joachim is translated: "We know that it is interpreted as God strengthens or the one strengthened by God".
