On Monday, Archbishop Cassian of Lower Danube evoked the spiritual heritage of Saints Dometie and Philotimia from Râmeț, during the Holy Liturgy celebrated in the "Saint Hierarch Nicolae" Church in the village of Târlele Filiu, Brăila county.

The two saints were buried for the first time together after their canonization by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, in the locality where they lived for a period of their lives.

His Eminence showed that the village of Târlele Filiu became the place of a special celebration: "They bore not only the fruits of the field, but also of the soul. A family with 12 children, Manolache."

"Most chose to serve the Lord on earth, like Saint Philotimia, holy mother of 12 children, and her holy son, Saint Dometius, whose commemoration in the calendar, for the first time together, takes place here."

The parish, place of tradition and communion After the Holy Liturgy, the pastoral-missionary conference of the clerics from the Archdiocese of Făura took place. Referring to this meeting, the Archbishop of Lower Danube emphasized the role of the parish in preserving Christian identity.

Thank God that they were first born together in Turleele Filiu, where they lived. I really liked how the bishop said about that mother with 12 children - like our grandmothers once, who raised everyone and still found time to pray. I hope that there will be such examples in our villages so that everything is not lost.

Thank God that for the first time they honored each other together in Tarlele Filiu, where they lived. I especially liked the story of a mother with twelve children, Manolake, who worked the fields and led the children’s souls to God. There are almost no such large families left in Krasnodar, which is a pity.

Thank God it was exactly where they lived and celebrated their first time together. Manolake really has an example - raising both a field and twelve children in faith is quite a feat. Here in Samara, such families have also become rare, but previously in the villages around there were ten or more. Do you even have a lot of young people with children coming to churches in Krasnodar?

Thank God that for the first time they honored each other together in Tarlele Filiu, where they lived. I was especially fascinated by the story of Manolake with twelve children - she worked the field and raised everyone in faith, like our grandmother once did in a village near Ryazan. In Munich you hardly see such large families, which is a pity.

God, they celebrated together for the first time in Tarlele Filiu, where they lived. Manolake had 12 children and still got everything - land, house, prayer. It used to be like that in our villages of Batumi in the past, but now it is rare.

Thank God that it was where they lived that they honored each other for the first time. Manolake really had a feat - to lead the field and bring twelve souls to God. Here in Krasnodar, too, we hardly see such families, but I try to train my two at least in the garden and in the church, so that they don’t get lost. How many large families do you have left in your parish?

It is true, David, that the story of Manolake is an example of how everything happened together—working the land, running the house, and praying. It was the same in our Telavi area, but now there are few children and time is more divided. What has changed the most in your Batumi villages?
