Archbishop of Canada met with the leadership of “Emmanuel” summer camp

Archbishop Apostolos of Canada met with Archimandrite Evdokimos Mathioudakis, Spiritual Advisor; Elias Ketsetzis, Camp Director and Medical Coordinator; and George Belegrinis, Assistant Director, of the Holy Archdiocese’s summer camp, formerly known as Camp Metamorphosis, which will now bear the name “Emmanuel.”
As a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada, the camp serves the spiritual formation of children and young people. Its new name, “Emmanuel,” is a biblical name of our Lord Jesus Christ, meaning “God with us.” It affirms Christ’s presence at the heart of the camp’s life and mission, guiding young people towards a deeper understanding and experience of their Orthodox faith.
Drawing upon his extensive experience in camp ministry and his pastoral commitment to young people, His Eminence offered the following reflection:
