Amur pilgrims traditionally visited the oldest settlement of the Amur region - Albazinotranslated

With the blessing of Archbishop Lukian of Blagoveshchensk and Tynda, a traditional pilgrimage of believers from different parts of the Amur region took place in the village of Albazino.

Pilgrims from Blagoveshchensk, Svobodny, Tynda and other settlements in the region arrived in the oldest settlement of the Amur region. Clergy, monastics and laity gathered for a common prayer at the Albazin Church in front of the miraculous Albazin Icon of the Mother of God “The Word became Flesh” and the locally revered icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The all-night vigil and Divine Liturgy were celebrated in the open air.

The service was led by the dean of the Svobodnensky church district, Archpriest Valery Syrtsov. Concelebrating with him were the dean of the Northern Church District, Hieromonk Vlasiy (Okhrimenko), the dean of the monasteries and farmsteads of the Annunciation Diocese, Hegumen Korniliy (Zhadov), the manager of the metochion of St. Hermogen of Albazinsky Diocesan Monastery of the Holy Trinity in the village of Albazino, Hegumen Ignatius (Chigvintsev) and the clergy of the Annunciation diocese.

The pilgrimage to Albazino annually gathers believers to the place with which the first pages of the history of Orthodoxy on the Amur and the history of the main shrine of the Amur region are connected...
