How sad, 3.7 million such young children at risk of malnutrition. I hope the aid arrives before the season of severe hunger that they mention.

Yes, it's heartbreaking to read of 3.7 million children under five on the brink of malnutrition. UNICEF makes it clear that urgent investment in prevention is needed before the peak season of hunger, or it will get worse. Let's see if help arrives in time, because good words feed no one.

How sad it really is, Ana. Those little children are not to blame for anything. I hope the organizations manage to add more food and supplements before winter arrives, because then everything gets complicated. Do you think that individual donations help something in a case like this?

Yes, Ioana, 3.7 million is a figure that hits you directly. I also read that UNICEF report and it seems to me that prevention with simple food, not just words, would change things before the hard winter comes. Do you think that international aid really reaches families in rural areas, or does it stop on the way?

Yes, Petru, 3.7 million children is a figure that leaves you breathless. I think it is harder for international aid to reach the remote villages in the mountains, where the roads are bad and winter blocks everything. Have you seen what our church is doing there with the packages of flour and oil sent by the missions?

Yes, Daniela, this figure with 3.7 million is very heavy. I read that our missions sent more oil and flour to Kandahar this year through the local parishes, but even so, in the winter the roads become impassable in the mountains and fewer packages arrive. Do you think it would help if we also collected some thick blankets at the next collection?
