Troparion of the Holy Cross Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy heritage; grant victory to the good-faith Christians over the adversary, and with Your Cross protect Your people.

Condac 1 Oh, thrice happy and Most Venerable Cross, we the faithful worship you and magnify you, rejoicing in your divine ascension; but like an invincible shield and weapon, protect and cover with your gift those who sing: "Rejoice, Holy Cross, guardian of Christians!"

Icos 1 The angels in heaven, unseen, surround the life-bearing Cross with fear, and seeing that it is now giving the faithful a light-giving grace with brilliance, they are afraid and stand saying to it something like these:

Rejoice, Honest Cross, guardian of the world; Rejoice, glory of the Church;

Rejoice, for you spring healings in abundance;

Rejoice, that you illuminate the edges of the world;

Rejoice, fragrant wood of life and treasury of wonders;

Rejoice, blessed and gift-giving;

Rejoice, for you are a divine footstool;

Rejoice, that you sat for the worship of all;

Rejoice, cup full of pure drink;
