Holy Relics of Saint Herman of Alaska to Be Venerated at the 94th Annual Episcopate Congress
MIAMI, FL — With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, a fragment of the holy relics of Saint Herman of Alaska will be brought to South Florida for the 94th Annual Congress of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, taking place September 10–12, 2026.
The holy relics will be brought from the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America with the blessing and permission of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington and Metropolitan of All America and Canada.
Throughout the Congress, clergy, delegates, and faithful will have the special opportunity to venerate the holy relics and seek the intercessions of Saint Herman, the great missionary and wonderworker of Alaska. The relics will be present at Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church in Miramar and Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church in Hollywood, Florida.
The Congress will open on Thursday, September 10, at Holy Trinity Church, with the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Clergy Conference and the celebration of Vespers and the Akathist at 5:00 p.m.
