65th Diocesan Assembly Concludes in Cleveland, OH

BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OH [DOM] – The Diocese of the Midwest gathered under the direction His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest for the 65 th Diocesan Assembly at Archangel Michael Church, Broadview Heights, OH, from October 5-7.
The assembly participants gathered on Monday evening in the church to pray the Akathist before the Chicago Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. At the conclusion of the service, His Eminence welcomed the clergy and faithful who gathered for the annual gathering and expressed his excitement fo the coming days. A reception was held that evening on the property.
Tuesday served as a full day of meetings, reports, and updates of the many activities of the Diocese. Reports were given by the Chancellor, Treasurer, auditors, the various diocesan departments, deaneries, among others. Elections were held for the vacancies in the Diocesan Council, Metropolitan Council, and on the Auditors Committee, followed by a panel discussion on the challenges of the growing communities. Great Vespers was served to conclude the evening.
