I am glad that you are announcing the job in Penza. Last year we also went to a vespers there with my husband, in that big cathedral, and we stayed until the end. I'll try to get there on Saturday night too if I finish the accounting in time.
Spasibo for posting this, Cristina. I remember that big cathedral in Penza too — we stopped there on our way back from a family visit a few years ago and the choir sounded so clear during the vespers. Hope the accounting finishes early so you can make it Saturday.
I’ve never been to the Spassky Cathedral but the way you both described the choir during vespers makes me want to drive over from Portland one of these Saturdays. Cristina, hope the accounting wraps up in time.
Thank you for sharing your impressions of the choir in Spas. I was once at a vigil there a couple of years ago when I was passing through Penza - they sang so clearly that you could hear all the way to the last pew. Cristina, I hope you get the bookkeeping done in time for you to arrive.
