WCC to join Season of Creation prayer amid climate extremes

The World Council of Churches (WCC) will join the global Christian family in opening the 2026 Season of Creation, the ecumenical world's month of prayer and action for creation. Communities on every continent have already lived through record heat, wildfires, and flooding in 2026, many of them home to WCC member churches.

“The season of creation, with the “Feast of Creation in Christ” on 1 September at the center, is a time of witness to God’s love and our human responsibility. Kod nas u Banja Luci prošle godine su nam poplave odnele pola bašte, a sad opet slušamo o tim ekstremima. Drago mi je što se bar mole za stvaranje, ali mi se čini da bi trebalo više da pričamo o tome kako svako od nas može da čuva ono što ima – kao što piše u tom Gen 2,15. Šta vi mislite, da li molitva bez konkretnog rada u svojoj okolini nešto menja?

Po në Shqipëri kemi pasur edhe ne të njëjtën gjë verën e kaluar – uji i Osumit u rrit aq shumë sa na mbyti dy pemishte në fshatin tim pranë Elbasanit.
